Ramesh Raskar

Dr. Raskar received his Ph.D from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2000 Dr. Raskar joined Mitsubishi Electric Research Lab as a Research Scientist. He holds 30 US patents and has received three Mitsubishi Electric Invention Awards. In 2004, he received the TR100 Award from Technology Review, which recognizes top young innovators under the age of 35. In 2008 he joined the Media Lab as head of the Lab’s Camera Culture research group. In 2009, he was awarded a Sloan Research Fellowship. His papers have appeared in SIGGRAPH, Eurographics, IEEE Visualization, CVPR and many other graphics and vision conferences. He has taught courses and has served as a member of international program committees at major conferences. He is a member of the ACM and IEEE.
