The core technology used in the company’s products was developed at MIT in the 1990’s by Dr. Rajeev Surati and thesis advisor Dr. Tom Knight, Jr. MIT filed a patent on the technology in 1998 and the patent was granted in 2002. The company was founded in 2004. To date, Scalable has successfully filed 12 patents related to edge blending, warping, and color calibration technology.
Scalable is recognized worldwide as a leading vendor in the projector edge-blending market. We have OEM relationships with leading projector brands including: Barco, Hitachi, NEC and Ricoh, and we are also a key supplier to many other video playback hardware vendors.
