Integration of Scalable Display Manager software with Projectiondesign’s Multi Image Processors.

Scalable’s software brings ease of use to projectiondesign’s Multi Image Processing hardware

Scalable Display Technologies, a leading software supplier in the emerging multi-megapixel display market today announces that their Scalable™ Display Manager add-on software will be integrated with the projectiondesign WB2560 and WB1920 high-end Multi Image blend and warp image processors and projectors on the projectiondesign new look booth 2262. The integration is aimed at showcasing real-world applications, in not one, but two dedicated areas focusing on command and control room monitoring and large view presentations.

Scalable’s Scalable Display Manager software, with EasyBlend™ technology, is an add-on for the Multi Image Processors. Using a patented camera-generated feedback system to calculate pixel-perfect instructions, or warp meshes, Scalable Display Manager brings automation to the difficult task of aligning multi-projector display systems. Using a camera based solution allows customers to achieve the highest quality blended images with precise alignment and blends.

projectiondesign’s WB2560 and WB1920 Multi Image Processors are ideally suited for a whole range of applications including simulation, entertainment, scientific visualization, and medical imaging markets. With no latency, ultra high-quality blend and warp, patented Black Level Matching, and Pixel Level Matching for color correction, every pixel is the same color and brightness for absolutely uniform images. The Multi Image Processors also support active 3D stereo compatibility up to 1920×1200 at 120 Hz.

“I have been pleased with our partnership with projectiondesign over the past year” said Andrew Jamison, CEO of Scalable Display Technologies. “Both companies invested early in this multi-projector area and now the market is maturing well. We have taken the time cooperatively develop a fully featured solution and we are now well prepared to meet the customer needs.”

“Scalable has helped to lead our cooperative engineering effort in the area of warp and blend automation” said Jørn Eriksen, president and CEO of projectiondesign. “We recognise the technical depth and years of market experience that Scalable has to offer. Working with expert partners like Scalable to showcase some outstanding examples of real-word applications on our booth will ensure that both companies stay at the center of the action at InfoComm 2011, and far beyond.”

Customers can purchase the products directly from their respective companies or through their authorized resellers.
