Scalable Display Technologies and Norxe announce a technical collaboration that integrates Scalable's automatic calibration software directly into Norxe's native 4K DLP projector series — enabling on-board warp and blend functionality for demanding simulation and training installations, reducing costs and simplifying deployment.
Scalable Display Technologies and Norxe have announced a technical collaboration integrating Scalable's automatic calibration software directly into Norxe's native 4K projector hardware — enabling on-board warp and blend functionality for the most demanding simulation and training applications.
Norxe is a custom designer and manufacturer of high-performance projectors for demanding professional environments, with a focus on simulation and training markets where optical precision, reliability, and total cost of ownership are paramount. The company's native 4K product range — the P50, P60, and P65 — is powered by Norxe's Unify Electronics platform, featuring single-chip DLP technology coupled with a fully solid-state light source and ranging from 2,500 to 5,500 lumens.
The technical collaboration means Scalable's automatic calibration results are now directly uploaded onto Norxe projectors, creating a unified hardware-software solution for warping and blending multi-projector displays. Rather than relying solely on GPU-based warp applied at the rendering stage, the integration provides an additional layer of precision correction at the projector itself — giving system designers and integrators greater flexibility in how they architect their display pipelines.
"Scalable has a long-standing relationship with Norxe," said James Pietsch, Director of Global Accounts for Scalable Display Technologies. "For over five years, we have worked closely with Norxe to deliver global solutions for the most demanding simulation applications. We are excited to evolve our business relationship into a technical collaboration with Norxe. The new collaboration provides more flexibility while reducing costs for installation and maintenance. We are excited to further our relationship with Norxe and support the future of simulation and training technology."
The collaboration addresses a real operational challenge in high-performance simulation environments: when projectors are replaced or repositioned, recalibration is inevitable. By embedding Scalable's calibration directly in the projector, maintenance becomes simpler and less dependent on matching hardware configurations at the system level. Scalable's patented calibration software reduces the costs and complexity of installing and maintaining projectors in simulation applications — particularly in multi-channel setups where consistency across every projector is critical.
"We are pleased to expand our relationship with Scalable Display Technologies," said Craig Maddock, Director of Product Support for Norxe. "Listening carefully to the training and simulation industry demands, Norxe has introduced new features, including our collaboration with Scalable, as part of our new range of DLP projectors. To ensure a seamless multi-channel setup, Scalable's automatic calibration files are directly uploaded to Norxe's DLP projectors."
